My work platform has been extremely related to place and space. I use conceptual stategies from which I produce a blurring of the functionality of the spaces I develop the work in and of the materials I work with.

I focus in the membrane produced by this blurring, at the point in which the elements get trapped. This creates a kind of interference in which functions and meanings block each other. The signifier without a signified subverts the instrumental value of the object and image as communication. It does not make sense, yet this non-sense is what allows new meanings to emerge.

My work has been frequently produced outside of my studio or through contractors; is related to a studio-less practice regarding traditional notions of what an artist's studio is. The studio is a container of my modus operandi and of myself. It operates like an office, with a computer, a telephone, books, music and the yellow pages.

I believe that art must be a vehicle for ideas. My intention or goal is to launch
peoples mind experience.
