Tuesday 11th January
Today's Health Walk was from the Clayton Green Sports Centre.
Just starting out, we were lucky with the weather again, it was dry and not too cold with the sun breaking through towards the end.
Again there were only five of us plus Gaz the leader.
We crossed the car park from the sports centre and entered the park in the northwest corner, turning along the path to the left and eventually getting alongside the lake (reservoir for the purists).
We walked through the 'monster' wood then back up the hill to walk along Cam Lane.

The stile before the lake - walking towards the picnic area - walk almost over, approaching the steps out of the park, Gaz leading followed by Mary, Carol, Carole and Jacquie. The walk took just under an hour.
There were refreshments waiting for us at the Sports Centre.
Next time I'll try and get some photos from the front.
In the conversations afterwards if was felt that we needed a core of about twelve regulars and Jacquie encouraged Gaz to prepare a small leaflet that could be pushed through the doors of houses near were they lived. Gaz agreed to do this, stressing the gentleness of the walks, the 50 minute duration and the socialising afterwards.
He's bringing about 150 to the next walk from the Barn. Jacquie will organise the distribution before she jets off to the Caribbean for February.
