Thursday 24th March - Eight people turned up for today's walk led by Lesley. We started off through the arboretum and down across the new bridge.
Here we are, just over the bridge, regrouping for the next stage. We followed the cycle track to the picnic area where the education group were studying the river, The walk was planned to return through the cinder path so as there are two sets of steps Maureen, Irene and I detoured up to the lake.
Irene has lived in the Sue Ryder Hall for twenty years and this was the first time she has made it up to the lake.
Work has started to remove some trees at the border of the field and lake plantation.
Here we are all having tea and biscuits after the walk, discussing plans to get more people taking part.
