Health Walk

Tuesday 15th May -  The walk from the Sports Centre.  Again there were nine of us today including Gareth our leader.

Heading south from the Sports Centre Gareth led us across Clayton Green Road, through the path, across Sheep Hill Lane into Manor Road, eventually past the school and into Back Lane.  We entered the Park below the Ley Inn and wound our way up and down several times, here we are having our first pause to refresh before continuing to reach Sheep Hill Lane again.

We crossed at the bottom and walked through the car and alongside the river

where we met Michael's Cousin Graham, whom Damian hadn't seen for many years.  Consequently they got left behind!

Michael's first sighting of Ransomes.  We came upon the cycle track and headed up into Gravel Hole Wood, across the field, over Cam Lane into Green Wood and back to the Sports Centre without catching the main group up.  But they hadn't arrived back!  Where are they?  We walked back down to the entrance to the Park.

A few minutes later they came into sight.  They had walked along the cycle track to the Lake and then back via Hawks Clough.  They had waited for us at e Lake but then realised we'd probably gone back a different way.

Today's walks, it took us just over seventy minutes and the main group 90 minutes.
