Tuesday 22nd May -  The walk from the Sports Centre.  The best Tuesday this year!  Warm and sunny - blue skies - summer at last - Ha Ha.
Today we were twelve including Gareth our leader.  I think that's the most we've ever had on a Tuesday.

We entered the Park and turned right walking through Green Wood past Hawks Clough.  Here Gareth suggested we should try and speed up, more walking less talking.  It's the first time Gareth has questioned our pace?

Peter, Gareth and Myself are sat on the Gregson's seat, we're getting stretched out now.  The heat was taking its toll. We had two new walkers today, Paul and Shirley, Paul was finding it rather taxing.
We walked down Berkeley Drive and turned left into Shady Lane.  Towards the end of Shady Lane we entered the field on the left

and walked through the meadow to Town Brow.
Most of the Dandelions had seeded and most of their seeds were seeking somewhere to settle.  The buttercups and Daisies are now rampant.
Decision!  To re-enter the Park or as it was getting late just carry on up Sheephill.  gareth decided we'd walk up the hill.
We got back to the Sports centre, the walk having taken around 85 minutes.  By this time Paul had recovered and was feeling fine but we were all ready for our tea and biscuits.

Surprise, it had been Gareth's birthday since our last walk and Carole had baked him cake and it was very tasty too.
