Tuesday 16th April
We all arrived at the Sports Centre today to find our leader Gareth had rung in sick so we were sent away to look after ourselves. There were eight of us, four had gone off on a WI trip to a cheese factory in Garstang.
Helen suggested we head south for a change and when we got to Sheephill Lane she took us down almost to the Lord Nelson. We walked along the park area between the houses on the A6, Preston Road and Chorley Road - just off the map in some places - surprisingly this is a green route alongside a little brook.
Michael took over the lead.! We recrossed Preston Road and Back Lane and entered the Park, new territory for all of us.

First resting place, just entering the Park. All eight of us are in this photo - who took the photograph?
We soon encountered familiar ground and wound our way back to Back Lane, coming out near the now closed Ley Inn.
Back amongst the houses we gradually dispersed without our tea/coffee and biscuits but we'd saved £2.
Today's walk, around seventy minutes, sunny, warmer than of late with occasional chilly winds but enjoyed by all. It was Barbara's longest walk.
