Another lovely morning for our walk from the Barn today. It had been raining but it had cleared up by the time we started out. The wind was strong but the sun was shining most of the time. We were nineteen today.
Helen was the leader with Peter agreeing to lead the breakaway group to make a shorter and easier walk for them.
We walked down towards the Stone Bridge but Helen surprised us by turning left along the cycle track and into W13 wood.
We emerged from the wood and decided that this was a suitable point for the short walk group to leave the main group and proceed along the relatively level paths back to the Barn via the Cinder Path - blue on the map
The main group walked round Cock Cabin Wood and the Pond and back into W13 and down to the Stone Bridge, across the picnic area and up the steps to the Lake

We stopped for a rest and to take in the ambience of the Lake. We walked along the Lake dam

and down the steps back to the Picnic Area. South along the Cycle Track.

All together again for our tea/coffee and biscuits - this time with a room to ourselves so not putting anyone out.
