A Glorious Easter Weekend at Glasson Sailing Club when we were blessed with almost perfect weather.

Sunday 8th April was the Glasson Sailing Club Carlsberg Trophy, two races, both to count towards the trophy.

It was an overcast day with occasional glimpses of sunshine but that did not dim the enthusiasm of the Glasson racers taking part in he Club's first trophy of the actual season.  The wind was westerly force 4. The course was Cs- BPs - Ap - 18p, three laps.

Seven boats took to the water with varying degrees of success.

Nick Miller, the eventual winer, in his new Blaze, 760, with his old (700) sail on.

Nick Miller won both races, being the first over the line in each race and also first after handicap.
Miller won on corrected time with Holmes third and Bourner 4th.

An interesting combination was Michael Swarbrick crewing for Martin Topping in Martin's RS400 but they didn't fulfill their promise. Michael was substituting for Samantha topping who had broken her collar bone the week before palying hockey.  All that can be said in Michael's favour is that he completed both races.

The course proved unsuitable for Mark Bamber, Musto Skiff and Frank Bamber, Dart 15.
