Racing took place today in somewhat dull but dry conditions. The sun threatened to shine and it looked like rain but the racers enjoyed themselves despite the weather.

The three Blazes coming up to the end of the first lap, sadly the first one, Mark, is definitely leaving to join Blackpool & Fleetwood Yacht Club and the last one, Frank aka Dad, may go with his son – he doesn’t want to but they’ve always sailed together.

The first race was thee laps over the course Ts - Fp – Dp – Gs – Ap – Hs – Ts.

Ivan and Nick were over the line early and had to come back, this gave Mark a clear lead which he never gave up.

The second race, 4 laps over the course Ts – BPp – Bp – Hs – Ts was keenly fought by Nick and Mark, Nick winning in the end. Nick was leading halfway round the last lap when Mark went to Frank’s assistance when Frank capsized during a squall which had sprung up, lasting for about half an hour. Frank was ok but Mark had to be sure.

Mark is leading the series overall at this stage with only one Sunday left.
