The 2007 Frostbite Series 6Final Dayfor the Loyne TrophyBack to Dinghy Homepage Sorry no pictures, I forgot my camera! Five boats took to the water. In a southeasterly force 1 wind. The first race was over the course Is – Bs – Gs x 3 laps. First Race:
We had some lovely sunshine for the second race. The wind was backing all the time and increasing, possibly up to force 3 by the end of the second race. For the start of the second race the wind was now in the west. Course Tp – Jp – Hp – TMPp x 3 laps Mark shot into the lead and wasn’t challenged. All the sailors enjoyed themselves, which seems to be a characteristic of Glasson, nice friendly people and superb waters and ambience. Those were the last scheduled races for the Frostbite Series and also for 2007. A total of seven races took place four of which counted towards the trophy. Second Race
Mark had managed to win four of his seven races so he ended up the clear overall winner. Nick was unable to compete today, which was a shame as Mark has rubbed our noses in it as that was his last race at Glasson for the foreseeable future. He’s taken his boat and is off to Blackpool and Fleetwood Yacht Club for 2008. Sadly Alex Stothert had only contested three races so he didn’t qualify. Final Results Table
