Today was the start of the dinghy autumn series with the Nateby Trophy races, both races counting towards the Frostbite Trophy.

Only three dinghies turned up to race in perfect conditions, another glorious Glasson sunny day.

As we were all experienced sailors we decided to race out to the Number 5 and after enjoying ourselves sailing up, down and around in the sea raced back.

Nick won both races, even before handicap, with Ivan second and me third.  I still haven’t mastered the Dart, it sails me at the moment.

So Nick wins the Nateby Trophy, I think for the first time.

In a couple of weeks time Nick will be racing in the Blaze Inlands on Saturday and the Blaze Nationals on Sunday.

The next races in the Frostbite Series are next Sunday, the 12th.
