2008 Frostbite Series

Sunday 16th November 2008

Sunday was another lovely day with northerly F3 wind for the first race and F2 for the second.  Sorry no pictures.  St. Andrew and Derek and his kayak were also on the water.

Eight dinghies turned out for the first race, the fifth in the Frostbite Series.  EIGHT dinghies!!!!

The first race started using the automatic lights, 3 laps over the course: Start-line between A and T, Hp, Bp, Gs, Ap.  The slower boats did 2 laps.

1st  - Martin & Samantha Topping – RS400
2nd – Ivan Haslam - Laser
3rd – Michael Swarbrick – Topper
4th – Rebecca Sharples – Topper
5th – Sonny & John Rushton – Enterprise
6th – David Sharples – Comet
7th – Ian & Barbara Sharples – GP14
8th – John Glynn & David Holmes – One-Design

The second race in a lighter wind was four and three laps over the course: Start-line between A and T, Hp, Bp, Ap.

1st  - Martin & Samantha Topping – RS400
2nd – Ivan Haslam - Laser
3rd – David & Rebecca Sharples – GP14
4th - Michael Swarbrick – Topper
5th - Sonny & John Rushton – Enterprise
6th – Ian Sharples – Comet
7th - Barbara Sharples – Topper

You will have noticed that there were changes in the boat crews!

This large number of boats was made possible by the kindness of John Wood loaning his Topper and Alison Rayson loaning her Comet.
