Today was the start of the dinghy winter series with both races counting towards the North West Icicle TrophyTrophy.

Three dinghies turned up to race but only two took to the water as there was hardly a breath of wind.

John & Sonny Rushton in their newly acquired Fireball

and David Booth in Peter's GP.

They both started the first race but were unable to finish without resorting to paddling so both crews retired. There wasn't any wind left for a second race!

Both crews were awarded four points and are equal leaders in the trophy.
