Several members were beavering away on their boats including Peter and Ann Johnson, having spent yesterday preparing the hull, were applying the anti-fouling - they were happy when it was all done!
Martin Lord launched his renovated GP14 and sailed with John Broadhead and then John Glynn. You can see two of them below:
Martin is really pleased and even more so later when he actually raced with John against another GP!
Michael & Paul Gill also lanched their West Eleven for the first time and their first sail! I haven't any photos as I was in the Rescue boat with Jessica - I haven't got round to risking my camera on the water yet - and then Rebecca and finally with Rebecca & Paul.
Also sailing were Rebecca and Jessica Sharples taking turns in the Topper and Nick Miller in his Blaze.
There were two short races to conclude the Icicle Series between the two GPs - Martin & John with John helming and Ian & Gillian. John and Martin won the first race and Ian & Gillian won the second after John & Martin had problems with their rudder.
However this didn't afect the overall result as David Booth retained his lead despite sunning himself with Chris at the Tag Mahal in India.
Second overall are Ian with various crews - Barbara, Gillian, Rebecca & Jessicca.
Third overall is Nick Miller
After the racing the boats were successfully recovered using Doug's new ATV recovery trolley!
