Thanks to Steve Speakman for being the OOD.
Thanks to Duncan Booth for manning the Patrol Boat,
Ian for launching and recovering it and Michael Swarbrick for the report
Again the weather was interesting and the wind mostly westerly Force 3 gusting 4.
The course, set by Michael, which was to do for both races, As - Ss - As - 18s - Ss : 3 and 2 laps.
After, what is becoming a habit, Michael and Ivan collided, the first race got away well.
All was going well but on the second leg Ivan capsized letting Michael get ahead. Sadly the course didn't suit Ivan but Michael was OK.
You will have gathered by now that only Michael and Ivan were racing. Alex intended to, as did Ian and John but John went off for his last sail to Piel this year.
The family Sharples arrived but they wanted to practice, Gillian and Partner were down for the weekend. Gillian sailed Michael's Topper and David and Gillian's Partner went out in their GP until the tiller broke.
The second race was over the same course and both Michael and Ivan had mastered it and both sailed well.
Racing over. Michael had the edge in both races so is leading the Series.
