Message from Alex Ratcliffe, our Facilities Manager:

Thank you very much to all Working Party Volunteers for making the weekend (Saturday & Sunday 25th & 26th March) such a success. The amount of work got through was unbelievable.

Some of the jobs you have done are as follows.

EXTERIOR

Replaced damaged beam at top of 'new' jetty.
Pressure washed interior of OOD. box.
Cleaned all plastic exterior and windows of clubhouse.
Dug out all grass and weeds from paths.
Both sides of slipway strimmed.
Painted both garage doors.
Patrol Boat Garage/Workshop roof fitted with facia boards and the roof finished off.
Removed all chains and timber to selected areas of boat park.
Main gate supermarket trolley lock replaced.
All litter etc., picked up from club grounds.
Dingy trailer and camping area cleared of overgrown bushes etc.
Boat Hoist/Mast Lift painted.
Two new racing mark moorings established and buoys moved to re-establish correct labelling.
OOD Flag Pole refurbished
Racing Start Line Transits renewed.
White container cleaned out.

 

 

 

 

INTERIOR

Lounge windows and frames cleaned, woodwork repainted, ceiling vents cleaned.
Storeroom cleared and cleaned.
Repaired and redecorated 'Pool Room'
Ovens, microwaves, ‘fridges cleaned.
Passage walls and ceiling spring cleaned.
Ladies and Gents changing rooms spring cleaned.
Tiles and fittings cleaned in toilets.
Library windows, frames and fittings cleaned.
Food and drink laid on Sat and Sun.

Jobs completed this year prior to the start of Working Party.

The patrol boat garage new roof (completed last year) replaced again but this time with insulated panels.
Complete overhaul and replacement of 'illegal' wiring and facilities in the winch location.
