1999 Cruise to Ireland

The first boat, Pebbles, left Glasson on Monday night. The cruise was planned to start on Friday night but strong winds kept the boats in the dock.

Rice Pudding, Lorne of Naze and Fred IV left this morning, Tuesday 22 June 1999.

They were sailing towards Holyhead from where they intended to sail across to Ireland. The original plan was to start towards Port St. Mary but the wind was on the nose and it was favourable to Holyhead. Holyhead was first intended to be the last port of call.

26th June. All four boats in Carlingford Loch.

Sorry no one has supplied me with any more details! However I believe the event was a great success.
