The cup was introduced in 1990 after the report of a Membership Group set up to find ways of increasing the membership and broadening the appeal of our sport. It was also an RYA recommendation. It was presented by an anonymous donor. Kathleen was the leading female helmswoman at the time, who sadly, through an injury at work had to give up dinghy sailing.
Presented for:
The winner of the Ladies Series of races, usually held on the nearest available weekend to midsummer. Saturday and Sunday, four races three to count.
