Tuesday 1st July
It rained very hard as we woke up but by 1100 hours it was fine and sunny
We went to Trelissick in the afternoon, Michael walked clockwise round the Woodland Walk, south section, while Daphne and Sue wandered round the garden.
Beached, well perhaps a pause for lunch and now waiting for the tide
Looking back near the end of the walk
Resting on a seat in the garden. When I took the first photo I didn't realise that I had captured Daphne and Suzie. For a while they didn't realise I was following their progress.
To the Courtyard Cafe for a drink and flapjack

Saturday 5th July
Finished off ivy and took to tip. The two photos on the right is how we left it last year
Watched F1 British Grand Prix qualifying and Kivotova starting to win the final.
I decide that I'd like a walk so decided to walk down to Falmouth - took my bus pass with me! As I passed the bust stop in Mabe, just up the road, I noticed that a bus was due so I waited and had my first bus ride in Cornwall down to the square.
This is a combination of three photos - I must have taken this view many times over the last forty years.
The above photo is taken rom hear, the edge of the 'strand' looking northeast to eastwards. The notice refers to the position as Fish Strand Quay but we've always know it as The Gas Works Car Park because at on time the gas works were here.
Taken from the same place above but looking the other way
Back up to the main street and down to .... Quay and looking across to Custom House Quay
Walking along Barr Terrace past the ancestral home, Number 21. Then up on the Marine Drive overlooking the Docks

When I first went to St. Ives and for many years the ?Lifeguards were Surf-Life-Savers (I think) and were a local organisation but a few years ago they were absorbed into the RNLI
Called at Chapel Porth for Ice cram.
A few minutes later the car didn't look as pretty as this!
Damaged car near side front body on a wooden post at Godrevy! I knew the post was there but somehow backed over it? Spoiled the day for me.
Watched Brazil lose to Germany - unbelievable
Wednesday 9th July
Trelissick
We had a slow start and only got out after lunch. I expressed a wish to do the Woodland Walk, the north one this time, and Daphne and Sue wanted to look round the house, which is open for a trial period.
In all the times we've been on this walk along Lamouth Creek I' don't remember seeing the tide in before
Roundwood Quay
The King Harry Ferry - half way round the walk now entering the south side again.
Around the southern most point of the walk. The last photo was taken in September 2011, the last time we got Suzie to walk round the south side.

Hilary's fund raising day
Diane, Daphne's next door neighbour

Saturday 12th July
Dull day with rain on and off.
Daphne decided that we were going to Helford Passage and taking the ferry to Helford Village because Michael hadn't been on a boat - we had talked about it a few days before. We thought about going on Daphne's walking club walk which was to start from the car park at Helford Village but decided the terrain was too rough, tree roots etc, for Suzie, still not seeing properly
Walking down to Helford Passage from the car park. You can't see Helford, it's just on the left up the creek in the distance. Helford River Sailing Club is in the middle
We've crossed the river on the ferry and he's returning to Helford Passage, in the mist in the last photo
Walking to Helford Village and looking down stream - sailing club in second photo
We walked up the hill to the 'Down by the Riverside Cafe' in the old chapel, sitting on pews from another old chapel.
Views from the car park at Helford, the sailing club is on the right in both photos. Helford Passage is on the far shore
Returning to the Ferry, the tide had risen whilst we were in the cafe.
