         February Sadly
Denys died of cancer towards the end of February.  I wasn't told
          until near the end.
          At the funeral Mark, one
          of his sons, said "He's
left you in a right mess". Well he had but he was a greater loss.
          Denys
had said to his family let Michael have the boat, he'll know what to
do. This was a great responsibility.
Sometime later I brought all the all the Tamarisk bits home from Helen's
          to Farington Moss.
I can't remember these two years (I'm writing this in 2005), they seem
to be a blank as far as the boat is concerned.
        In
early May I sailed with Norman and David Holden to the Isle
          of Man and Ireland
        In
July we took part in the Viking
Invasion and I took part in the Sea
          5 Trophy race
        In
August I took part in the Regatta
          with Alison
        Over
Christmas 2000 and New Year 2001 I helped with laying the new
          moorings at Glasson.
On good Friday I took part in the first
          Millenium Bridge Race.
I don't think I touched the boat at all until the summer of 2002 when I'd
          met someone who was keen
to sail with me and was willing to help with the work.
