| Artists are provided with accomodation, meals, workspace and technical assistance throughout the workshop. In addition everyone is allocated a space in one of the out buildings. This can be used either as a studio space in which to make work or as a base from which to make site specific work in and around the extensive grounds and house. |

Whilst the daily routine of the workshop is designed to give the artists the maximum of undisturbed time, an essential part of it involves group dialogue and discussion. All participants are required to give a brief presentation on their work and take part in group discussions about work in progress during the course of the 2 weeks. Spontaneous evening events or performances on the part of the artists, collectively or individually are encouraged and facilitated. |

A series of visitors are invited throughout the Workshop. Their contributions may take the form of studio visits, evening talks or presentations. Visitors have included writers, curators, critics and gallerists. In the past these have included Sacha Craddock, Rita Donagh, Richard Gott, Marc Chaimowicz, Stephen Johnstone, Jim Mooney, Jenni Lomax, Suhail Malik and William Miko. On the final Sunday of the workshop Braziers is open to the public and fellow artists to visit the studios and site specific work. Work and events are documented daily and form the basis of the catalogue that is published every year. The catalogue is an important publication; serving both as a document of the workshop and as promotional material. The Workshop provides a unique experience for those taking part. Participants have gone on to organise workshops and residency programmes in the spirit of continued and reciprocal exchange and benefit. The contact with artists from other countries has led to exciting developments in working practice, as well as oportunities to take part in symposiums, artist led projects and exhibitions |
