Sixteen today. It was dull and drizzle was forecast but fortunately it didn't rain. David was leading and he took us down into the Pinetum.

At the New Bridge we split up, the short walk going off to the left, seven today, the largest small group to date. The main group, now only nine, set off to the left and up into Gravel Hole Wood. The leaves are beginning to come out at last but it didn't feel like spring.

Bluebells, no coming out all over, Marsh Marigolds and blossom, looks like some form of Cherry?

More Marsh Marigolds and Wood Anemones in between

Down to the Picnic Area where I spotted this tiny May Flower. We climbed up to Cock Cabin Wood, round Cock Cabin Pond and back to the Barn via the Cinder Path.
A poor day for photographs, dark, windy and a doddering old photographer!
