Seven of us today: Carmel, Carole, Elizabeth M, Helen, Michael, Sandy and Sue.
Michael took control again and headed off into the Pinetum. It was a gloriously sunny morning, very cold but ideal for walking or should I say strolling

Down to the Wooden Bridge where we came across Maureen, a former leader, exercising one of her dogs. We crossed the bridge and walked up

into Gravel Hole Wood, through Dog Kennel Wood. I'm not sure where Gravel Hole Wood ends and Dog Kennel Wood begins? In photo 5 you can see the Hall through the trees, only possible in winter.
As we emerged from the woods we had a discussion and Carmel & Sue left us to take the direct route back, over the Stone Bridge and up Snake Hill to the Barn.

The other five walked into the field, up the hill and down the steps to the Lake.

We walked round the edge of the Lake, round the Picnic area, over the Stone Bridge and along the Cycle Track into the Unnamed Wood. Back on the Cycle Track we entered Cock Cabin Wood, round the pond and headed towards the Cinder Path.
As we emerged from the wood Michael asked if he could rush on ahead to get to the hospital on time. It was such a lovely morning and everyone was enjoying the leisurely stroll round the Park it would have been a shame to hurry the others along.

Michael's long gone, nowhere in sight as Carole poses for a photo or is she saying come on Sandy we're going to miss our brew.
