Strong winds and heavy showers but ten people turned up to walk. Bernadette, Carmel, Elizabeth H, Elizabeth M, Helen, Jim, June, Michael, Sandy and Sue.
Michael decided to lead and he led us down to the Stone Bridge.

This 'coloured' photo describes the day, we're walking down Snake Hill. The dot in the sky is the Heron.

Already spread out! We got together at the Stone Bridge and here June, Jim and Sue, wanting a short walk, went off along the Cycle Track, green route.
The rest of us climbed up to the Lake.

To add to the wintery feel the Lostock was in spate. These three photos contrast with last week's of the same spots. In photo 4 you can see the stair rods rain that broke out just then.

We walked up and round the Lake and up towards Hawkes Clough. We took the eastern path up towards the back of ASDA in Green Wood

The longest series of steps in the Park
Photo 8
Struggling up these steps. We walked along the edge of Green Wood and then down into the Wood and up on to Cam Lane which resembles a building site, a right eye sore.

The mysterious Ponderosa, it has a fascination for most of the walkers. Work appears to be going on extending the plot into the Park.
We walked back to Hawes Clough, along the field and down beside the Lake to the Cycle Track where we followed the footsteps of Jim, June and Sue up Cardiac Hill and up into the Pinetum.
As we arrived in the car park the Volunteer Rangers were hard at work again - a bit to wild and wet to take any photos of them
Then on to the Barn where June, Jim and Sue were waiting for us. A nice surprise as Peter and Barbara had come for a brew and chat. Peter is recovering from a back operation.
