It was a nice day but at first we thought there wasn't going to be any wind! However we got a little, which increase as the race progressed. Northeasterly.
The course for the first race was: Ss - As - 18s - Ss. The OOD decided that the race would start to end when the Fynn had been racing for 30 minutes
The wind had backed so a new course was set Sp - 18p - Ap - Sp, the same as the first race but this time the other way round. The wind was now blowing quite steadily mostly northerly around F1.
The start of the second race
Chorley John and Sam, Slippers Big John Robin
This time we decided on fifty mintes duration but the tide was getting stronger than the wind so the race was shortened to around 35 minutes.
Both races finished in order of handicap and they were still in handicap order after the times were corrected. Robin in the fastest boat won both races.
Despite Ivan was still enjoying summer on the south coast, he is still leading the series with Slippers second.
Everyone agreed it had been a good morning. I think it's time I got a new camera, some of the photos, after trying to improve them look like they were taken in the Mediterranean! Mind you, it was a lovely day.
The next Race Day is next Saturday, 20th, the first race starting at 1400 hours.

The photo on the left is Alan's taken last week but look at the change this week, all neat and tidy round the Club scuptures - someone's been hard at work.
