2012 Frostbite 4

Sunday 20th October 2012 - Glasson Sailing Club

Please click on the photos to see a larger one.

Another nice day with occasional sunshine although it cloude over for the racing.  Sadly there were only two of us, Slippers and myself, Michael

The wind was F1 southewesterly, just enough for us although it could have done to be a little stronger

The course for the first race was: Ss - Gs - As - 18s - Ss and we chose to only do one lap.  We beat up the first leg with no problems but on the second leg Slippers struggled to find enough wind to overcome the tide, Michael having the faster boat got round Mark G OK.

025s Photo from last week.  We haven't any photos of us today.

For the second race we set a new course was set Ss - Cp - Es - Cs - Ss, again one lap, this time the tide didn't play a big part.

Again a new course for the third race.  The wind was falling away so we headed upstream Sp - Ks - Sp.  K was Mytilus, John's boat.

In the faster boat, the GP14, Michael finished first in all three races and just managed to win on handicap.

Ivan was travelling up from the south coast but suffered heavy traffic with many delays and arrived just as we were washing our boats down.

Despite there being only two of us we enjoyed the sailing.

Results

Frostbite Series Standings - By virtue of his % points for doing the OOD duty Michael is now in the lead!  this will be short lived as soon as the others take to the water in the remaining twenty or so races - the best ten races to count.
