There was mist in the distance and it felt colder than the 1° recorded on my car.

Carmel, Carole, David, Elizabeth M, Helen, Linda D, Mary and Sandy walked from the barn, along the Cinder Path, David was leading.

We walked round the (frozen) Cock Cabin Pond. Mary broke the ice on the edge of the pond to allow oxygen to reach the pond life.

Rejoining the Cycle Track, looking across to the Hall
then down through the wood to the stone bridge.
We then continued around the (half frozen) lake. Some of the ice on the lake had melted from Tuesday, but there were few birds swimming in the ice free areas.
We pressed on through Dog Kennel Wood, Gravel Hole Wood.

Back on the Cycle Track then across the wooden bridge; returning through the Pinetum.

David explaining a point at the end of the walk!
On to the Barn where we all enjoyed a hot drink and put the world to rights!
