Thirteen today plus Alison and Joe's dogs. Carmel, Carole, David H, Dorothy, Elizabeth M, Linda D, Linda E, Linda P, Mary, Maureen, Michael, Sandy and Sue. We had all three Lindas today. The weather was fair and we could see patches of blue sky but they didn't grace us.
David had agreed to be the leader and he set off down Snake Hill towards the Stone Bridge.

We walked up to the Lake and saw the Heron on the other side. Photo 4 was supposed to be the Heron but I got this instead

At the south east corner of the Lake Carmel, Dorothy, Mary and Sue left us to complete a short walk - green route.

We carried on up into the field and towards Hawkes Clough

Not sure where this is and I don't know what it is. It is somewhere on the walk to Hawkes Clough.

At Hawkes Clough we turned right towards the Ponderosa

This eyesore still fascinates the walkers who would love to know what it is all about. There appear to be major works taking place along Cam Lane - widening?

Descending into Green Wood only to climb back up again - bad day for me after having felt much fitter on Tuesday's walk. We walked along the top and descended another flight of steps to cross the footbridges and climb up again into the field at Hawkes Clough. Down through the field to the entrance to Dog Kennel Wood.
Here the plan had been to enter Dog Kennel Wood and walk along and eventually up through the Pinetum but we had run out of time so we walked down to the Stone Bridge and back up Snake Hill to the Barn where Helen joined us for refreshments.
