Health Walk - Tuesday 16th June 2015

We had ten walkers - Barbara N, Brian, Carol, Elizabeth H, Elizabeth M, Frankie, Helen, Irene S, Maureen and Sandy.  It was Barbara and Frankie's first walk.

Brian led us along the side of the barn where the wild flower meadow was in full flower.  The trees alongside the road were in full competition.

We went down the cinder path past some curious bullocks, around Cock Cabin Pond where there was a further flowering competition between the irises and the buttercups and then down through the wood.

We continued over the stone bridge, around the lake, through the woods, alongside the river and back over the stone bridge.

Everyone stopped to rest halfway up the hill

and then ploughed on around the side of Cuerden Hall.  The flower beds were looking good! 

We felt we deserved our coffee on return!
