Health Walk - Tuesday 8th September 2015

We had 11 walkers again today - Carmel, Carol, Carole, Elizabeth H, Elizabeth M, Frankie, Michael, Paul, Peter, Sandy and Sue.

Michael assumed leadership.

We're all together as we cross the Wooden Bridge

but as we headed for Gravel Hole Wood Peter and Sue left us to walk along the river - green route

We walked through the wood into Dog Kennel Wood and up into the field then down to the Lake

The Lake was very still.

We walked round the Lake

The cows looked contented as they fed.  Unbeknown to us Peter and Sue had been on the same route, joining our route at the Stone Bridge.

We met them on their way back just as we were about to enter Cock Cabin Wood from where they had just come

Some of us stopped to rest on the seat but this trio of souls kept going because they though if they stopped they wouldn't be able to start again

On the sides of the sun dial there are two metal structures. Does anyone know what they are for or what they demonstrate.

Today's walks.  The colour of the arrows show who walked where.  Where the green arrows are in front Peter and Sue got there first.
