We had 18 walkers today - Ann, Bernadette D, Carmel, Carole, Colin D, David H, Elizabeth M, Graham, Gwen, Helen F, James, Linda E, Mary, Michael, Paul, Peter, Sandy and Sue.
It was a damp overcast morning but not as dull and warmer than we expected.
David took the lead again and outlined where he would take us and we set off towards the Stone Bridge.
We crossed the Stone Bridge, here Peter and Sue elected to walk along the river while we walked along the bottom of the dam and climbed up to the Lake where we had our first rest. We walked round the Lake and up into the field.
We carried on along the edge of the field to Hawks Clough and up past the eastern wall of the Ponderosa. We walked along Cam Lane and dropped down into Green Wood.
We climbed to the highest point of our walk, walked along the top and started the descent back.
It wasn't very good for photographs and we were over half way round when I switched the camera on.

Walking towards Hawks Clough. At the lowest point of this section we had to negotiate a puddle, it's Ann's turn here to walk over/through it

Normally we'd walk up into Dog Kennel Wood but we were running out of time so we carried on down to the Cycle Track alongside the river

When it's a good day children play in the river here - every day dogs play in the water here

I'm not sure if everyone is resting or waiting for me to catch up? When Peter and Sue reached this point they walked on to the seat in the field just past the Covert Pond, rested a while and then walked back to join our route again although they were ahead of us at the time.

It was another good walk, thanks David
