We were down to
12 enthusiastic walkers this morning - Ann, Bernadette D, Carmel, Colin D, David H, Graham, Jacqueline, James, Michael, Paul, Peter and Sue.
We arrived in a terrible downpour but weren't deterred
The rain had paused and David took the lead again.

Again it was too wet for the Cinder Path so David outlined his plans and we set off towards the Pinetum.

In the Pinetum and the rain started again
Part way down the slope Peter and Sue left us to stay on the top again avoiding the hills - green route.

Jacqueline stripping off, she seems to made of sterner stuff that the rest of us, and dancing for the camera. We carried on round the Lake.
As we reached the end of the walk round the Lake Graham spotted a Goosander flying across the Lake

A lot more water in the Lostock today
Here Jacqueline preferred not to walk round Cock Cabin Wood so Carmel went along the riverside with her and back up Cardiac Hill - blue route.

The rain has started again. We crossed the Stone Bridge and walked up to Cock Cabin Wood and round the pond. We came back down to the Stone Bridge and walked up Snake Hill

Despite the weather the stalwarts were working on
As we neared the Barn Graham's sharp eyes spotted another creature in the undergrowth - Stoat?

Peter's Yule Log. Peter and Sue kept on the high part of the Park - the Hall, drive, Shady Lane, Cuerden Close and round Sue Ryder Barns - green route
It was another good walk, especially under the circumstances, thanks David
