Sunny morning. Eighteen walkers, Alan, Bernadette, Carmel, Elizabeth H, Frankie, Graham, Helen G, Irene S, Irene T, James, Lawrence, Linda E, Maureen, Michael, Pat, Paul, Peter and Sandy. Carmel led the short walk with Sandy - green route.
Michael, leading, set off towards the Stone Bridge intending to go up round the back of ASDA.

Here we all are, except Michael holding the camera, at the Stone Bridge.
We walked up the slope at the side of the Lake .
Here Carmel and Sandy turned up into Dog Kennel Wood.
Leaving the Lake behind we climbed up into the Field and walked to Hawks Clough. We dropped down to the Quagmire and gradually climbed to the steps. After a steep ascent, we walked along the top and descended into Green Wood. Michael, in front at the moment, saw a large brown bird flying away from us but it was impossible to identify it.
We climbed yet another flight of steps and crossed Cam Lane to everyone's favourite stile into the Cow Field. The cows will soon be out again so Michael is making the most of the time left. Today the field was quite dry.
We walked down the field and over the not quite so daunting stile into Gravel Hole Wood.

Walking up Cardiac Hill
Again I hadn't taken many photographs.
While everyone was enjoying their drinks and biscuits, well nearly everyone, Elizabeth of Blackburn just comes in to say cheerio, I went out again and took some photos of the new building and workers.

Still preparing more car parking spaces and extending the footpath to the new building

The roof is now completely covered in boards and waterproof lining, except the bottom boards which can't be fitted until the straw bales are in place because of having to drive long pegs into the straw bales to secure them.

Now work is being concentrated on getting the floor in place so that the straw bales can be assembled
