Health Walk - Thursday 31st March 2016

Today we had twenty walkers - Bernadette, Carmel, Carol, Carole, Caz, David, Elizabeth M, Graham, Helen G, James, Jordan, Josh, Kelly, Lauren, Linda D, Michael, Nici, Paul, Sandy and Suzie.

It was Caz, Jordan, Josh, Lauren & Nici's first walk.  Caz & Jordan visiting from Hemel Hempstead, Josh, Lauren & Nici from Silverstone and Kelly, her third walk this year, from New Zealand.

It was a lovely sunny morning, the second of two consecutive gloriously sunny days.

David was leading.

He took us through the Pinetum and down to the Wooden Bridge.  Here Carmel and Suzie left us and walked along the river and then led the main group back to the Barn - green route.

We walked on up into Gravel Hole Wood crossing the Clayton-Le-Woods Women's Institute bridge into Dog Kennel Wood.

We left Dog Kennel Wood and climbed up into the Field to drop down to the Lake.  We walked round the Lake and down to the Picnic Area, crossing the Stone Bridge following Carmel and Suzie.  We deviated from Carmel and Suzie's route to walk through Walkers Wood and Cock Cabin Wood.
