Photos by Michael - Please click on photos to see a larger one Another fine morning. Seventeen walkers - Bernadette, Colin C, Elizabeth H, Elizabeth M, Frankie, Graham, Irene T, James, Lawrence, Linda E, Maureen, Michael, Pat, Paul, Sandy, Suzie and Zandra. Michael, leading, set off towards the new building. Pat and Suzie, doing the short walk, followed us however when we ducked down the side of the building into the Pinetum they carried on to the Stone Bridge and walked along the river to the Wooden Bridge then up into the Pinetum to the Great Crested Newt Pond and round the Hall - green route. We walked down to the Wooden Bridge and up into Gravel Hole Wood. Through Dog Kennel Wood, up into the Field where I was delighted to learn that Graham called the Cuckoo Flower the Mayflower and Lady's Smock just like I have always done. From the Field we walked down to the Lake. Walking round the Lake we saw the Great Crested Grebes and a pair of Canada Geese with two goslings - had there been more?
We walked round the Picnic Area, over the Stone Bridge and up into Walkers' Wood. We entered Cock Cabin Wood and walked round the Pond. We emerged on to the Cycle Track and turned left down towards the Stone Bridge again but avoiding the bridge we walked up Snake Hill back to the Barn Back in the Barn we all enjoyed our refreshments.
