Photos by Michael & Judy - Please click on photos to see a larger one
Another fine morning. Sixteen walkers - Brian, Carmel, Carole, Colin C, Colin D, Elizabeth M, Frankie, Irene S, Judy, Lawrence, Michael, Paul, Peter, Silvia, Suzie and Zandra.
It was Silvia's first walk with us, travelled all the way from Standish having seen the walk advertised in Chorley Borough Council's 'What's on'.
Michael was leading and set off towards the Stone Bridge.
We walked across the Picnic Area and up to the Lake. Walking round the Lake

we climbed up into the Field.
After walking through Dog Kennel Wood and Gravel Hole Wood we left the main thoroughfare and walked along the beaten track alongside the river.

We emerged from the wooded area and progressed towards the Town Brow car park still nominally along the riverside.
Leaving the fields we returned along the Cycle Track eventually climbing up into the Pinetum and back to the Barn where we enjoyed the remainder of Paul's birthday cakes - we'd had twenty-five on the Tuesday so Paul was determined to cover that number but only fourteen turned out today.
Peter and Sue left us after we'd walked round the west and south sides of the Lake and returned to the Cycle Track to walk to the Covert Pond. Here they rested a while and then blazed our trail back to the Barn - green route and arrows.

Four delightful photos by Judy. I won't guess at where they are but photos 8 & 9 are somewhere along the river part of the walk.
