Photos by Michael - Please click on photos to see a larger one Today we had twenty-three walkers despite the WI Christmas Shopping Trip Everywhere was wet and gloomy but despite that we had a good turnout. The rain held off for us Michael was leading, Frankie volunteered to be back marker and Suzie led the short walk, four today Michael, a little late again, said as it's been raining hard we'll do the same walk as last Thursday (to avoid muddy and flooded paths). We all set off down to the Stone Bridge, the short walkers to the rear. Suzie led her group up to Walkers Wood then came back down the Cycle Track over the Stone Bridge and along the river to the Wooden Bridge and up Cardiac Hill back to the Barn. We crossed the Stone Bridge, avoided the steps bypassed the Lake and missing out the muddy kissing gate we entered the Field. We walked along to Hawks Clough and continued up past the Ponderosa. We walked along Cam Lane, crossing Sheep Hill Lane and walked down to Town Brow Car Park where we recrossed the road and walked along the Cycle Track past the Covert Pond. Today Colin D, Graham and James set an even pace and we were all together. The kissing gates and road crossings were our only pauses today for the most part we kept going. We avoided Cardiac Hill and walked back up Snake Hill, below Everyone seemed to have enjoyed the walks despite the conditions.
