Health Walk - Thursday 8th December 2016

Today we had fourteen intrepid walkers - inclement weather?
Rained all the way round, at times heavier than others
Margaret was leading and John was back marker. Suzie led the short walk
We all set off round the sunny side, ha ha. of the Hall but as we reached the corner the short walkers turned left to the Hall car park (follow the green line) and the rest of us turned right and headed down Snake Hill towards the Stone Bridge.
We crossed the Stone Bridge and walked along the river

As we neared the Wooden Bridge Michael called the attention of us all to see
the work going on to fit the shingles on the new building roof

Ignoring the Wooden Bridge we walked on and up into Gravel Hole Wood.

Walking through Dog Kennel Wood this 'green' tree caught Michael's attention. Not noticed at the time but you can see some funghi.
Leaving Dog Kennel Wood we climbed up into the Field and at Hawks Clough we climbed up to the Ponderosa walking along Cam Lane to Sheep Hill Lane then down Sheephill Lane.

Here we are crossing the road
at the bottom of Town Brow to reenter the Park

Starting back along the Cycle Track. As I was processing the photo I noticed these two boxes on the tree?

Over the Wooden Bridge this time
and up into the Pinetum diverting along the eastern edge up to the new building.

The reason for the diversion. The electric cable is being installed but the conduit has collapsed so it is having to be dug up and repaired!
