A lovely crisp morning
Twenty-four walkers. Michael was leading, Elizabeth was back marker and Peter leading the short walk, five today
Michael led off down into the Pinetum, over the Wooden Bridge and up the path between Gravel Hole Wood and Black Banks Wood

where we saw this notice in Black Banks Wood - must be a path used by the adventurous.

We are into Dog Kennel Wood now. Michael's at the back checking with Elizabeth if everyone is OK

At the top of the slope we posed for a photograph before heading off towards Hawks Clough.
At Hawks Clough we walked down the slope and danced our way across the large puddle via a float which some kind person has placed in the middle, well nearly.
We walked up to the top climbing the long steps, walked along the top and down into Green Wood climbing the long set of steps up to Cam Lane where we turned right and walked past the Ponderosa back to Hawks Clough.

We walked round the Lake, down to the Picnic Area, crossed the Stone Bridge and climbed up Snake Hill

back to the Barn where we were privileged to be able to use the classroom. I'm rarely on photographs because I'm usually taking them but I'm on Photo 13 twice!
The short walkers had set off down towards the Stone Bridge but turned up into Walkers Wood then entered Cock Cabin Wood walking round the Pond and back down Bikers Hill and over the Stone Bridge. Ignoring the Lake they walked along the river, crossed the Wooden Bridge and climbed up Cardiac Hill back to the Barn - green route
