Health Walk - Thursday 17th January 2019

Today we had thirty-five walkers and Paddy on a crisp and sunny morning for the walk today
Sheila was the leader of the main walk with James back marker.
Colin led the Elite group with Margaret W back marker.
Please let the map explain the walks as sadly I wasn't present
The main group set off down Snake Hill

After crossing the Stone Bridge the main group carried on up the Slope to enter Dog Kennel Wood but the Elite walkers walked along the bottom of the Dam, round the Lake, up the Steps into the Field before dropping down to the Kissing Gate and entering Dog Kennel Wood

and climb up Cardiac Hill, into the Pinetum, round alongside the Walled Orchard, into the Car Park and back to the Visitors Centre/Cafe

A new kissing gate to replace the stile into the Cow field, is there one at the top?
Leaving Gravel Hole Wood Sheila turned left and walked along the Cycle Path

passed the Covert Pond.
Along the Avenue of Oaks all the way to Town Brow where the crossed the road and marched up Back Lane to enter Sheep Hill Wood and make their way down dale

to the Top of the World and down again to Sheep Hill where they climbed up to cross at the top into Cam Lane

Walking along Cam Lane passed the ponds with Jenny Greenteeth , passed the Ponderosa
Continuing along Cam Lane, down through the Kissing Gate

So it wasn't the last look at the Lake
Over the Stone Bridge and back up Snake Hill to the Visitors Centre
Today's walks (Red Main Group, Green Short Walk Option Group).
