Thanks to James and John B for providing the information for this report and Sheila for the photographs

Today there were fifty walkers.   Thirty-two for the main walk and eighteen for the short walk

"Dry and breezy morning for our walk today." - Sheila

John B led the Elite group with Margaret W mid marker and Colin back marker.

Leader John B: "The Elite group, augmented by some long walk people who were avoiding James’ promise of a 75 minute jog, had 20 members. The route was discussed and it was agreed to take in 2 of the New kissing gates. The pioneering group crossed above the café (entered the Pinetum) to descend Cardiac Hill, right at the bottom as far as the left up towards Gravel Hole wood. Across the field, up the steps and through the wood to turn left on Cam Lane. Past the Ponderosa and continued to keep left to bring us to the steps above the end of the “lake”. We dropped down to the lakeside and took the ramp (now clear of ice) to the stone bridge and ascent of Snake Hill. One kind lady, who usually does the long walk, had a cup of tea waiting for me.

James led the main group with Sheila back marker up through the Car Park, down Berkeley Drive, along Shady Lane

which is now a Sheep Field.  Down the field through the Kissing gate, across Town Brow into the south side of the Park, along the Cycle Path taking the first path on the left over the Footbridge, the River Lostock, up the hill out onto Wood End Road, Blackthorn Croft down Back Lane into Town Brow car park ( as usual park entrance shut felling trees) along the Cycle Path
