John led us out on to the Cycle Path and along and into Cock Cabin Wood. Leaving the wood he took us down into Walkers Wood, over the Stone Bridge, round the Picnic Area and up the Long Steps to the Lake.
Leaving the Lake we went through the Kissing Gate and along Cam Lane where we met

Oh look, at the other side of the fence there were calves/young cows/bulls out, will they be in the Cow Field soon and making us miss the Kissing Gates until the winter months again

where the Butterburr is now out in full, seemingly unaffected by the recent swirling river in full spate.
Over the Wooden Bridge and up Cardiac Hill into the Pinetum and straight up the side back to the Visitors Centre.
The Elite walkers had gone straight down Snake Hill, over the Stone Bridge, which now has its railings restored, along Cam Lane, up the Slope, through the Kissing Gate into the Field along to Hawks Clough, up past the Ponderosa, down into Green Wood, up to the top and down the steps to Hawks Clough, still on Cam Lane where

they met the main group coming in the opposite direction
They dropped down the steps to the Lake, round the Lake, down the Long Steps, across the Picnic Area crossed the Stone Bridge, climbed back up Snake Hill back to the Visitors Centre.
Today's walks (Red Main Group, Green Short Walk Option Group).
Where there are green arrows on the red route it means the Elite walkers had followed the main >> or the main group had followed the Elite walkers >>.
