Sheila led a group of 12 on the longer walk with Frankie initially back marking and latterly Lawrence. John B led the Elite group of 13 which included 2 new walkers and David H back marked. We enjoyed our refreshments and a good chat when we got back to the Visitor Centre. A few rainy photos will be added here." Jane S: "Enjoyed your walk today Sheila despite the rain! Just good to be out." Sheila set off into the Pinetum, down Cardiac Hill, over the Wooden Bridge turning right and then left into Gravel Hole Wood, through into
Crossing Sheep Hill Lane and walking down into Glenmore through gate by sub station, along path to top of the world lookout, continue along path through Sheep Hill Wood down steps to Sheep Hill Lane. Down Sheep Hill Lane to enter the Park again at Town Brow and walked along the Avenue of Oaks, now one for every two years of the road to the Queen Mother's 80th birthday Took about one hour 7 minutes and was about 2.75 miles. John B: "Short walk; John B leading, David H back marker, 13 walkers. Down Snake Hill to gate, Left to cross front of hall and follow drive down to Cinder track. Over Motorway bridge, along cycle track, exit car park onto A49. Under M’way bridge, right into upper park. l Left at fork to make circuit then back to A49. Return by reversing route back to the Visitors Centre. . Zandra: Another jolly morning - the weather wasn't too bad at all.
