Sheila T: "Seventeen walkers came along today for a Boxing Day walk which started out damp but the rain mostly stayed away. John W led fifteen walkers with Sheila back marking. Wesley our only canine friend today came along in the longer walk. Margaret and Colin completed the Elite walk. We gathered in the car park on our return to share some refreshments and mince pies. Thanks to John and Margaret who brought the tables and some extra refreshments for those who hadn't brought their own. Lots of mince pies were brought along and consumed!!"
Eileen P: "Not a good weather forecast but we were so lucky on our walk in Cuerden Valley Park this morning staying dry until we were leaving. Lovely walk there as always culminating with mince pies and coffee on the car park."

to meet up with everyone one, well Margaret and Colin, who had got the coffee and m,mince pies out ready for us.
Thank you very much Margaret for providing the refreshments. We were all supposed to bring something which most people probably did, all except Michael
Margaret W: "We set off towards Snake Hill and took the path before the gate to go round the front of Sue Ryder, left towards the Barn, through the gate towards the pinetum but took the first path to Cardiac Hill. At the bottom turned left and went through gravel hole wood, dog Kennel wood, right to the field path where we met the other group. Down the steps, took the path to the stone bridge and up snake hill and back to the car park. " at the Visitors Centre
