Sheila T: "A chilly but lovely sunny morning today a bit muddy underfoot but a good walk for 22 walkers led by Jimmy and back marked by Sheila. One guest today joined this walk and Wesley one of our canine regulars. Ten walkers were led by Colin and back marked by Brian on the Elite walk accompanied by Charlie, or was it George? our canine Elite walker. "

Carrying along James' Walk, it really was muddy which was difficult for me, Michael S, I forgot to put my boots on and only realized when I neared the Park.
We came out on to the Hall Drive and turned up on to the Cinder Path.

Eileen marvels at the amount of work involved in creating these inset pebbles done during the Pinetum's hey day in Victorian times
The Elite Walkers - John B: "10 walkers plus George, Colin C leading, Brian L back marker. Down to gate, left to Hall, round stables and old barn to Barclay Drive Cut through to walled orchard, down Cardiac hill. Two members who were a bit under the weather left us at that point to return. Eight continued right then left up through Gravel Hole, Dog Kennel Wood, around east side of lake, descending long steps, over stone bridge and return up Snake Hill to café."
Today's walks (Red Main Group, Green Short Walk Option Group).
Where there are green arrows on the red route it means the Elite walkers had followed the main >> or the main group had followed the Elite walkers >>. similarly for the blue arrows
