Health Walk - Tuesday 14th January

Sheila T: "Thirty people braved the dull and then rainy morning to walk today - nineteen walkers were led by John W back marked by Elizabeth M. Margaret W led the Elite group of eleven back marked by Colin C accompanied by George and Charlie our canine friends"
John led us up into the Car Park turning left into the Pinetum past the Walled Orchard and up round the Viewing Area, down onto Cardiac Hill leaving the Pinetum and walking over the Wooden Bridge

and walked round the Lake to descend the Long Steps to the Picnic Area where, walking round, we

encountered the Elite walkers.

We crossed the Stone Bridge and after another pause we

we walked along the path, several trying to avoid the pool of water but encountering mud

On up Bikers Hill into Walkers Wood then Cock Cabin Wood

before leaving the wood, turning right along

the Cycle Path to go down into the Cinder Path then the Hall Drive, round the east end of the Hall and back to the Visitors Centre/Café
The Elite Walkers - Margaret W: " today's walk was as follows, we went up to the barn and onto the Cinder Path, through Cock Cabin Wood, down to the stone bridge, up the path to dog Kennel wood and gravel hole wood then up Cardiac Hill back to the Visitors Centre. "
