Sheila T: "Twenty-seven walkers enjoyed a pleasant morning with the sun showing up for quite a bit of the walk. Sheila led seventeen walkers and Wesley our canine friend with Michael back marking. Pat led the Elite group of nine walkers with Margaret back marking. Three regular canine walkers Charlie, George and Paddy accompanied the Elite group today."

and into the north side of the Park through the Kissing Gate. Kissing gates appeal to older walkers like me because they slow the walk down and allow me to catch up.
We walked round the area anticlockwise

Final photographs before we retrace our steps to the Cinder Path, down the path along the Hall Drive, round the Hall and back to the Visitors Centre
Pat R: "From the cafe, up the hill to cross the car park. Taking the small path to the right of Lancs Wildlife Office (The Barn HQ) we went along the back of Sue Ryder, turned left and through their car park and down the road to the Cinder Path, along to the pond and through Cock Cabin Wood. Down Bikers Hill, taking the top path of the triangle and then turning left to go over "pooh sticks" bridge. After a gentle discussion we decided that it would take too long to go through Dog Kennel Wood and Gravel Hole Wood, so we decided to walk along the bottom of the valley and up cardiac hill. We went past the turn off on the right to the café/Visitors Centre and took the next right through the shrubbery back to the car park and turned right and back to where we started ready for refreshments. There were 8 walkers and 3 dogs at the start and a few minutes later we were joined by Joe making 9 in all. We did 3.21km in 47mins.
Today's walks (Red Main Group, Green Short Walk Option Group).
Where there are green arrows on the red route it means the Elite walkers had followed the main >> or the main group had followed the Elite walkers >>. similarly for the blue arrows
