Health Walk - Thursday 13th February

Sheila T: "Twenty six walkers enjoyed a fairly sunny walk today fifteen led by David and back marked by Jimmy took the longer walk and John B led and Beth back marked the eleven Elite walkers and canine friends Charlie, George and Paddy. Thank you to our leaders and back markers and Michael S who has given us some lovely photos."

He crossed the Stone Bridge, walked round the Picnic Area and climbed the Long steps up to the Lake

but only Michael Saw the Heron perched over the pond off Cam Lane
We crossed the road at the top of Sheep Hill, walking down to cross the road at Town Brow Car Park to reenter the Park walking along the Cycle Track

You can see how high the river has been here where soon we will see the Butterbur. Looking round to the left

there is a small clump of Snow Drops. We crossed the Wooden Bridge and climbed Cardiac Hill into the Pinetum ad back to the Visitors Centre at the same time as the Elite walkers

Jacqueline and Chris had come all the way from Skipton to celebrate Jacqueline's birthday, coming on Tuesday, with some of the original walkers, the Famous five
John B: "Short walk, 10 walkers plus George, Charlie and Paddy, John B leading, Beth back marker. Up to old Barn, around to Hall main drive, Cinder path, Cycle Track to junction with Snake Hill (to avoid the puddle), over Stone Bridge, up Long Steps to reservoir, all round the reservoir to climb Steps to Meadow. Right to return to ramp to Stone Bridge and climb Snake Hill to café."
