Sheila T: "Thirty walkers came along despite the cold and rainy morning. Twenty one walkers led by Jim and back marked by Julie mentored by experienced leaders Frankie and Elizabeth. Margaret led the nine Elite walkers back marked by Brian. Charlie our canine friend accompanied the Elite walk. Thanks to all our walk leaders and back markers today. "

He took us down Snake Hill, across the Stone Bridge on to Cam Lane, up the Slope, through the Kissing Gate into the Field and on

to Hawks Clough. Continuing along Cam Lane

back into the Park to walk along the Cycle Path.

Sheila spotted the Elite walkers climbing up Cardiac Hill. Jim continued along the Cycle Path, we were making good time as it was too cold and wet to stop for too long so we were too soon to go up Cardiac Hill.

This dog could see his ball in the river but no way was he/she going to jump in the river to get it!

Jim continued along the Cycle Path, over the Stone Bridge, and climbed up Snake Hill
back to the Visitors Centre
Margaret W: Elite Walk: "We set off up through the Car Park, round the Barn, onto the Hall Drive and along the Cinder Path, out on to the Cycle Path avoiding the Cock Cabin Wood and Walkers Wood to cross over the Stone Bridge, up the Slope, through Dog Kennel Wood and Gravel Hole Wood, down to the Cycle Path, over the Wooden Bridge, up Cardiac Hill into the Pinetum and back to the café/(Visitors Centre)"

Where there are green arrows on the red route it means the Elite walkers had followed the main >> or the main group had followed the Elite walkers >>. similarly for the blue arrows
