Again no Health walks allowed today.

My car was the only one on the Car Park when I arrived

However as we set off into the Pinetum a Police Van turned up. (Photos 3 & 4 are attempts to make a 16x9 photo out of Photo 2 but I didn't get them right or couldn't get them right)
Part way down the hill Jimmy said "I was going to do the Bluebell Walk today" so we turned round, walked round the Barn and up into James' Walk.

Are they fully out yet?

Jimmy said let me take a photo so here I am posing
Out on to the Drive and into the Cinder Path where fortunately we met no one

How many of you have noticed that Photo 12 is the reverse image of Photo 11?
On the Cycle Path heading for
Photo 15 Photo 16
Cock Cabin Wood for more Bluebells, no they aren't fully out yet or the tree-fellers have trampled them down.
Back on the Cycle Track, down Bikers Hill and over the Stone Bridge to walk

We continued along the field to cross the

along the river.
We returned to the Cycle Path crossed it and walked up into Gravel Hole Wood, crossed into Dog Kennel Wood

and more Bluebells. The light variation, not the right word, was too great for the cell phone camera. Photo 30 is a Photoshop black and white version of Photo 29 to see if it looked better
Photo 34 Photo 35 Photo 36
More Bluebells this time where the Larches were cleared
Photo 37
I try and get interesting 'pictures' but I'm not artistic at all q.e.d.

Just about to drop down to the Lake. The 'purists' insist this is a reservoir but the definition of reservoir is:
"a large natural or artificial lake used as a source of water supply."
Photo 40 Photo 41
It is not used as a source of water, it is purely a scenic feature. Because of the Dam it is governed by reservoir regulations for safety
We avoided the Lake, going down the Slope and over the Stone Bridge again to climb up Snake Hill

Back to the car and drive home
